Laguna College of Art + Design

In the Light is a painted observation of our disconnection with the natural

environment and how my own reconnection with nature has helped me sort out life’s most

difficult questions and challenges.

In developing a visual language to express these ideas, I have called on my previous

experience in scenic painting, cinema, philosophy, and other art movements to propel my

landscape paintings into what I feel is a current day idiom.

I offer this work as a hope, sharing my vision of a world worth revering, not a

dystopian scene of what we have done to the planet, but rather to impart that wonder still

exists.
